Android Auto is an infrastructure developed by Google to allow Android devices running the Android Auto mobile app provide a customized user interface to for use in a vehicle, most commonly by having it connected to an Android Auto-enabled head unit in the vehicle. Both touchscreen and button-controlled head unit displays will be supported, although hands-free operation through voice commands is encouraged to ensure safe driving. The functionality offers control over GPSmapping/navigation, music playback, SMS, telephony, and web search

How to Install Android Auto Update in Baleno and Other Cars

Steps to Install Android Auto Update-

  1. Have 16 GB pen drive formatted in FAT 32 file type
  2. Extract 1740 zip file (998 MB) in the above pen drive 1740. Its about 2.3 GB post extraction
  3. Plug in Pen drive in the USB drive slot and press the start button twice (or even once)
  4. Update will start automatically after some second’s delay
  5. Update failed thrice in the process (24%, 77% & 96%)
  6. Fourth time the installation successfully updates and the msg is displayed to remove the PEN Drive.
  7. Remove the PEN Drive and then switch off the ignition and then push the ignition button again.
  8. The HU will restart, visibly you won’t see any difference unless you connect a phone.
  9. Install Android Auto app on your android device
  10. Use the original USB cable, plug it in the USB port of the car and another end in the phone.
  11. Launch the Android Auto on your device.
